- Müşteri
İyi günler. Geçen hafta buradan aldığım kulaklığı iade etmek istiyorum.
Hello. I'd like to return the headphones I bought here last week.
- Görevli
Tabii. Ne sorun vardı acaba?
Of course. What seems to be the problem?
- Müşteri
Aldığımdan beri sol taraftan ses gelmiyor. Sanırım bozuk.
Ever since I bought them, there's been no sound on the left side. I think they're faulty.
- Görevli
Anlıyorum. Fişiniz ya da faturanız yanınızda mı?
I see. Do you have your receipt or invoice with you?
- Müşteri
Evet, buyurun. Para iadesi mi yapıyorsunuz, yoksa değişim mi?
Yes, here it is. Do you give refunds, or exchanges?
- Görevli
İkisini de yapabiliyoruz. İsterseniz aynı ürünün yenisini verelim, isterseniz ücretini kartınıza iade edelim.
We can do either. We can give you a new one of the same model, or refund the money to your card — whichever you prefer.
- Müşteri
Ürünü aslında beğenmiştim, o yüzden değişim yapalım. Umarım bu sorunsuz çalışır.
I actually liked the product, so let's exchange it. I hope this one works properly.
- Görevli
Elbette. Yenisini getiriyorum; kutusunu burada açıp birlikte deneyelim, içiniz rahat etsin.
Of course. I'll bring a new one; let's open the box and test it together here so you can be sure.
- Müşteri
Çok iyi olur, teşekkür ederim.
That would be great, thank you.

Grammar & Culture Notes
Grammar
Since …: -DIğImdAn beri
Aldığımdan beri = 'since I bought it'. The -dık participle + possessive + -den beri expresses 'since (doing something)'. Compare geçen haftadan beri (since last week).
Grammar
Past perfect: beğenmiştim
Ürünü beğenmiştim = 'I had liked the product' — the -mıştı/-mişti form refers back to an earlier feeling, here before the fault appeared. It's often used to explain the background to a decision.
Culture
Your rights as a customer
Turkish consumer law gives buyers of a faulty product the right to a repair, a replacement, a price reduction or a refund. Keep the fiş or fatura — stores will almost always ask for it.
